Upon an evening visit last week I peaked through the blinds before leaving, where I was greeted with the most breathtaking sunset. As an avid lover of sunsets, I quickly grabbed my phone to capture the moment, taking one shot before putting my phone back in my pocket. At the time I failed to realise that the window was reflecting back the image of my Grandad laying in his bed, til’ I got back to the car to glance at what I had taken. I couldn’t help but see my Grandad in the beaming red sky, as though he was on his way up there. The past week and a half we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve played you your favourite songs and even had farm animal sounds playing to make you feel more at home. Today, the beaming red sky took you up there, to do what you’ve been talking about all week … drive the tractor and move some muck. I hope your life up there is as wonderful as the one you’ve lived down here Grandad. 🚜👼🏼
